Stein Ivar Hansen
Chairman of the Board, Former Vice President at SensoNor, PhD, Professor of Microsystems, EC-appointed expert.
Stein Ivar is an experienced technology leader with more than 30 years in micro‑ and nanosystems, semiconductor devices, biomedical sensor technology development and optical communications. He has chaired and held board positions in several companies, and working experience include VP MEMS Foundry at Sensonor ASA, CEO of MicroTech Innovation AS, General Manager of the Norwegian Centres of Expertise in Micro‑ and Nanotechnology, and Professor at the Institute of Micro‑ and Nanosystems Technologies at USN. Stein has been Senior Technology Counselor and Industry Attaché to the US, led major international R&D programs, built cleanroom laboratories, and contributed extensively to entrepreneurial innovation. He is named as the main inventor on more than 20 patents and has authored numerous scientific publications. Stein holds a PhD in quantum well optoelectronics, an M.Sc in optical Information technology and an engineering degree in electronics systems and microcomputers from the University of Glasgow.

With more than 20 years of experience across corporate finance, early-stage investing, and international business development, he also has a background in IT, sales, and marketing, and is actively engaged in Norway’s technology and growth ecosystem.

Tor Inge Tønnessen
Professor at Oslo University Hospital, MD, PhD, Senior Consultant in the Department of Anesthesiology, and global opinion leader (KOL) in ischemia monitoring
Professor Tor Inge Tønnessen is an anesthesiologist and intensivist, professor at the University of Oslo, and Senior Staff Anesthesiologist at Oslo University Hospital Rikshospitalet. Tønnessen earned his MD in 1981 and PhD in 1990 with a focus on intracellular pH regulation. He trained at the University of Pittsburgh before returning to Norway, where he leads the Biosensor Research Group and has supervised many doctoral theses on biosensor technology and other clinical studies.

Trond Herje
Trond holds a Master of Science from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), and has broad experience in building growth companies originating from technology environments such as NTNU and SINTEF. He has worked as an investment advisor and portfolio manager at Leiv Eiriksson Nyskaping AS, where he was responsible for investments as well as developing and maintaining governance tools and templates related to the firm’s investment activities.
He has held several board positions, both as a board member and chair, in technology-intensive companies. In addition, he has experience as a founder, startup coach, and steering committee member for Venture Cup NTNU.
Until September 2017, he served as Investment Manager and portfolio manager at MicroTech Innovation AS and as Managing Director of the investment company Incendo AS. Today, Trond is the CEO of Sensocure AS, a medical technology company founded in 2011, a role he has held since its establishment.
